9 months

wow i have a nine month old and its almost christmas! where has the time gone. this time last year i was celebrating this baby boy in my tummy with a baby shower! now he is huge! paxtens been learning like crazy, (as usual) and he just keeps getting cuter and cuter! He is the best little buddy in the whole wide world and i have so much fun with him. i am the luckiest to get to be his mom!

9 months

• walking!
• loves to blab
• has stranger anxiety (loves him momma)
• still sleeps with mom
• favorite foods are yogurt, mandarin oranges, potatoes.
• loves to go out the doggy door 
• loves to go outside
• is in a big boy car seat
• had his first thanksgiving
• is 23.5 lbs
• 29 1/4 inches
• loves his grandma and grandpa hannig!
• learned how to climb into the bath all by himself
• loves the bath and shower and wants to get in anytime anyone is in it.
• tries to open every drawer and cupboard he can.
• for real claps and knows he is doing it
• Knows where his puffs are and opens them with his teeth
• Has 3 teeth (all bottom)

• likes to get tare paper/toilet paper/anything that can tare.
• clicks histongue 
• and he does this thing where he makes a sound and rubs his fingers up and down on his lips to make a funny sound i dont know what you call it but its funny
• loves to spit his food out cause he is and expert spitter.

8 months

here we are again another month later.. time slow down please! pax is growing like a weed. he is getting into everything latley and keeping me on my toes for sure! This month pax had so much fun spending everyday with his cousin maddyx and aunti danielle! we were so sad when they had to leave on the 1st of november but we made some fun memories. pax is still learning more and more each day and i love watching him discover.

8 months

• Hates the car seat.
• hates to eat in the high chair
• had his first halloween.
• Loves to go out the doggie door and play outside
• kind of claps his hands
• stands all by himself without help
• has taken steps but falls after one
• loves his walker toy
• still sleeps with mom
• loves mandarin oranges 
• loves to play in the shower (when the water is on and when its off) 
• when anyone is in the shower or the bath he tries to get in.
• likes to try to drink out of a big boy cup
• 22.8.lbs
• loves to play outside
• tries to eat anything and everything

sweet little seven monther

my little buddy is seven months now. my oh my how he has changed in the past little while. i swear he is on full speed figuring new things out every day! He has turned into such a sneaky, mischevious boy. He keeps me on my toes thats for sure. Even though the things he does isnt what a good buddy would do it cracks me up cause he is just so dang cute and i could never get mad at his cute face!

Seven months

• says ma ma (not sure if he realizes thats what he is saying but i like to pretend) 
• Is the worst sleeper and will not accept anywhere but my bed with me
• Plays with my face while he sleeps
• tries to get out the doggy door
• plays in the dog water when he gets the chance and sneeks right to it
• loves squeeze pouches
• throws a tantrum when he has to get in the car seat
• learned how to take his diaper off and does it a million times a day
• has a shoe fetish 
• loves to bother the doggies
• 22 lbs
• has two teeth all the way grown in
• loves to watch disney jr. on the ipad but not the tv
• loves to bang on things like he is playing the drums
• learned how to click his tongue and does it often
• went to his first  parade 
• went to his first swiss days
• Loves to sit on my feet and hold onto my leg while i walk around and go for a ride he thinks its real funny

my 6 month buddy

where has the time gone! one day he was born and then he is all of a sudden a half year old. even though i am sad how fast he is growing it is sooo much fun to watch him discover. he is such a smart little guy and has figured out way more thatn i thought he would have by 6 months. he is my favorite in the whole wide world and i love him so much!

6 months

• can get from laying position to sitting 
• crawls but enjoys scooting still too
• pulls himself up to stand
• loves his ears tickled 
• loves the big boy bath
• his first tooth popped through and the second is just about to aswell
• likes to open drawers
• likes to play/bother the dogs
• loves watermellon, carrotts, sweet potatoes, bananas and gerber puffs
• weighs 21 lbs
• we were able to start styling his hair in a pomp
• refuses to take bigger binkys
• sleeps in his own crib but still wakes up  2-3 times a night
• loves to go on walks 
• loves to swing
• discovered his tongue and sticks it out all the time
• has to play with my face while he nurses

5 months

little paxten is not so little anymore, he is now a five monther! He is so much fun these days and keeps me busy for sure. he keeps figuring out new things and i love to watch him progress, its so much fun. Pax has got to experience a lot of new things this past month. Cousin maddyx and aunt dani were still staying at our house so he got to play with cousin a lot. we also got to go on a little trip to iowa to see all the rest of our family minus uncle justin, aunt tawsha and cousins burklee and parker. but we will save that for another post. Here are the things paxten has experience this month.

5 months

• Learned how to sit up
• is figuring out how to get on his hands and knees (getting ready to crawl)
• started eating solids (only rice cereal for now)
• still wants to be held the majority of the time
• takes 2 naps a day. one morning and one afternoon
• has to listen to white noise for naps or he gets woken up
• still sleeps with mom
• loves bath time
• plays lots with toys
• Favorite thing to say is babababa. he says it in the funnies way 
• pulls hair like crazy
• loves to swim
• got his first sickness of his life it started on wednesday and hasnt gone away completely yet
• such a smiley boy!
• super ticklish especially on his neck, ribs and feet
• size 4 diapers 
• 19 lbs
• doesnt sleep through the night
• wearing some nine month, and 12 month clothing
• went on his first air plane ride
• teething (i think)
• had his first sickness. 

i love this cute little buddy more and more everyday! he is growing so fast but im loving it every step of the way, even if it isnt all peaches all the time. so there you have it. paxtens five month post.

My big 4 monther

Paxten is now 4 months old, and boy oh boy has this past four months been a treat! He is just the cutest thing i ever laid eyes on and goodness is he smart! He has learned quite a lot the past little while and has grown a ton too! We have been able to do a lot of fun new things this past month so lets get to the sharing.

 4 months

• Rolls over like a champ!
• is such a laugher and smiler
• Loves bath time
• Is back to wanting to be held all the time
• still sleeps with mom
• grabs and sucks on everything he can get his hands on
• gets distracted when he nurses so we have to be in a quiet dark room most of the time.
• is a screamer (when he is happy and when he is mad
• an early riser (we are talking 4-5 a.m. here people)
• doesnt sleep through the night
• weighs 18.5 lbs 27 in 97 percentile in both
• size 3 diapers
• loves to stand (with help of course)
• loves being outside naked

4th of july

this independence day was a pretty good one. It was paxtens first and we were able to celebrate with Aunt danielle cousin maddyx and cousins Mckenna and ethan. The day started early for us. We woke up around five thirty (not really much of a difference for me and pax since we are usually up pretty early everyday anyway) and went on our hike. It was a nice little hike only about 1.5 miles long. It was paxtens first hike and he had a grand time riding in the moby while mom did all the work. After our hike we drove home and got ready. Of course Paxten got a patriotic outfit for the holiday, him and cousin maddyx were twinsies so we put those on and then headed over to our ward breakfast were we visited and ate. the rest of the day we just hung out, relaxed and made a quick trip to home depot.That evening we had a yummy dinner of dutch oven and lots a of treats complete with homemade ice cream. When it got dark we watched fire works and also did a few of our own. It was a good day over all and i think paxten enjoyed his first forth of july. He looked so cute in his outfit and we got some good pics for some nice memories.

paxten is 3 months!

Oh my goodness i forgot to write paxtens three month post! Good thing im only a day late.
Seriously i say this every time but i really cant believe how fast time has gone by. This little man is growing up so quickly! He is so much fun to have around. Pax does a lot of new things now, it is so much fun to watch him learn, he surprises me often.. this boy loves to smile, his happiest most content times of the day are right when he wakes up so happy smiley and talkative, we love mornings. we try to get out for a walk every morning, he is pretty good for the first half of the walk and then he wants mom to hold him the rest of the way. so now we use the moby wrap for our long walks and the stroller for the shorter ones. paxten is a  very spoiled boy, but who even cares i love spoiling him! i seriously cant go anywhere without buying him something, mostly clothes. it would be much worse if he was a girl, he is one stylin baby! i recently bought him a jumperoo, he can almost touch the floor but not quite so only a month or so before he can really start playing in it. here are some other things about pax at three months.

• usually goes to bed in his crib, but after the first wake up he is in bed with mom.
• still not sleeping through the night, wakes up usually about 3+ times 
• usually takes two naps a day, morning and afternoon
• wont stay asleep very long if im not laying with him so if i want  him to take a long nap i have to take one too. 
• is now in 3-6 month clothes and a few 6-9 month clothes but wears 0-3 month shoes
• mom loves doing his hair in a fo-hawk
• loves to play with toys
• likes to play with the shower curtain while he waits for mom shower.
• likes to suck/chew on his hands and anyone elses. (mom doesnt like it unless its her hands and she knows they are clean)
• still likes to be held a lot but is getting better at being put down 
• loves to look at his self in the mirror

• has been swimming and he likes it for the most part
• pretty sure he weighs close to about 16 lbs
• sits in the bumbo
• can roll over 
• talks seriously all the time! its so cute
• loves to stand, he wants to do that most of the time your holding him or he will just fuss.
• We come up with some pretty interesting nick names around here. some new ones are dipper snapper, dippy dippy, little chicken or chicken nugget.

so there you have it. my big three monther just growing and learning away. I love him so so much!

Two Months old

This baby is two months old today. HOLY COW! i cant believe its been two months since this sweet boy arrived. its been such a great little while. Paxten has been progressing quite a bit this past month its crazy. Its bitter sweet watching him grow. Today me and paxten went to his two month check up. He is 14 lbs (90th Percentile) and 25 in (97th percentile) he is seriously such a big boy. i love his chubby little rolls. He is already into 3-6 month clothes. he also got his first set of shots today. i felt like such a mean mom making him get poked. i never heard him cry like that before and it made me so sad i cried with him.

Two months

• He has blowouts almost every day and i have yet to find a diaper that keeps it in
• he is in size one diapers (almost size two)
• Likes to suck on his hands when he can find them 
• smiles so big when you talk and smile at him
• talks back a little bit
• This boy loves his momma ( i like that, see bullets below)
• only falls asleep if mom his holding him
• still sleeps with mom
• only takes naps if mom is taking one with him
• hates the bath still, but loves showers with mom
• he knows when mom isnt holding him and looks for me.
• loves to be held, hardly ever lets you put him down and if he does its for no more than twenty minutes.
• mornings are his happy time, he is all smiles and a chatter box
• hates his car seat

This buddy guy jr. is such a joy to have around and im so glad he is mine!

Paxtens Blessing

Today was a special day for paxten, it was his blessing day.
Paxten was blessed by his grandpa hannig (my dad). Great grandpa hannig, great grandpa Layton (taylors grandpa), and uncle scott were also there to join in the circle. we were sad that more family wasnt able to come especially my sisters and brother

. Grandpa gave a very good blessing to paxten. He was such a good boy during it too. He started to cry as grandpa took him up but as soon as he started the blessing paxten stopped and looked up at grandpa and smiled the whole time. (uncle scott told me that). I am so glad that paxten has the blessing of growing up in the gospel and im thankful that we have worthy priesthood holders in our family. Paxten looked so handsome for his blessing and it turned out to be a wonderful day.
